Dr Tiisetso John Rantlo is an admitted legal practitioner of the High Court of Lesotho. He is the Director of Extractive Industry Law in Africa Unit in the Department of Public Law at the University of Pretoria, where he teaches extractive industry and environmental law. Dr. Rantlo conducts research and consultancy in extractive industry law, environmental law, and climate change law. His work has been published in various journals and presented at national and international conferences.

Dr Rantlo serves as a member of the executive committee for the Environmental Law Association of South Africa and the International Association for Impact Assessment South Africa. 

Dr Rantlo holds an LLB from the National University of Lesotho, an LLM in Environmental Law and Governance and an LLD from the North West University.
