Mukovhe Marole is a Candidate Attorney at Tokyo Ndlela Attorneys Inc., where she contributes to the firm’s specialist practice in mining, energy and natural resources law. She holds an LLB and an LLM specialising in Mineral and Petroleum Law, with a particular academic interest in extractive governance, resource regulation and mining law frameworks across Africa. Her academic background reflects a strong grounding in statutory interpretation, regulatory analysis and sector-specific legal research.
Mukovhe contributes to client mandates involving mining rights compliance, environmental and regulatory frameworks, and mining-related commercial agreements. She assists with legal research, drafting of memoranda and advisory notes, and the preparation of regulatory submissions under the MPRDA and related legislation.
Prior to joining the firm, she gained exposure to mining regulatory processes and policy research through her legal researcher role at South African Mining Youth Association and her involvement at the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (specifically the Petroleum Resources Parliamentary Portfolio Committee), further strengthening her understanding of the legal and institutional architecture underpinning the extractive industries.
